Ratings and available functions depend on the installed software package and selected controller configuration.

Generator protection functions

Depending on configuration, the controller can provide:

  • Overvoltage and undervoltage protection
  • Overfrequency and underfrequency protection
  • Generator overcurrent protection
  • Reverse-power protection
  • Overload protection
  • Unbalanced-voltage and current monitoring
  • Loss-of-excitation monitoring
  • Earth-fault monitoring
  • Emergency-stop shutdown
  • Overspeed and underspeed protection
  • Low lubricating-oil pressure shutdown
  • High cooling-water temperature shutdown

Engine communication

The AGC 150 can communicate with supported electronic engine-control units using CAN bus. This allows the controller to display and monitor information such as:

  • Engine speed
  • Coolant temperature
  • Lubricating-oil pressure
  • Fuel consumption
  • Battery voltage
  • Engine operating hours
  • Diagnostic trouble codes
  • Exhaust after-treatment status

Actual data availability depends on the engine ECU and selected communication protocol.

  • Auxiliary diesel generators
  • Emergency generators
  • Harbour generator sets
  • Offshore generator packages
  • Workboats and tugboats
  • Cargo vessels
  • Tankers
  • Passenger vessels
  • Generator retrofit panels
  • Engine-driven pumps
  • Small independent marine power systems

Main features

  • Designed for harsh marine environments
  • Generator control and protection in one unit
  • IP65 front panel
  • Wide operating-temperature range
  • Configurable LEDs and pushbuttons
  • Built-in communication interfaces
  • Engine-CAN integration
  • Event and alarm recording
  • PC or front-panel configuration

Important variant warning

The AGC 150 family includes several different controllers:

  • AGC 150 Generator
  • AGC 150 Generator Marine
  • AGC 150 Stand-alone
  • AGC 150 Mains
  • AGC 150 BTB
  • AGC 150 PMS Lite
  • AGC 150 Hybrid
  • AGC 150 Engine Drive
  • AGC 150 Remote Display

The software package determines which controller functions are available. The marine generator configuration should therefore be confirmed before ordering.
