Product Overview
The JOWA ODME 2005 monitors the oil content of water being discharged from an oil tanker. It processes oil concentration, flow rate, vessel speed, total discharged quantity, position, date and time.
When discharge conditions comply with the programmed MARPOL limits, the system permits the overboard valve to open. If any limit is exceeded or required data is unavailable, the system commands the discharge to stop or return to the slop tank.
JOWA states that oil tankers of 150 gross tonnage and above must carry an approved oil-discharge monitoring and control system under the applicable MARPOL requirements. JOWA ODME 2005
