Kongsberg Maritime Autronica GC-110 Rail-Mounted Temperature Transmitter

Product Overview

The Kongsberg Maritime Autronica GC-110 is a compact, rail-mounted temperature transmitter for marine and industrial monitoring systems.

It receives resistance signals from Pt100 or Pt1000 temperature sensors, linearises the measurement and converts it into a standard 4–20 mA output. Its terminal-block construction permits multiple transmitters to be mounted side by side inside control or monitoring cabinets.

Key Features

  • Compatible with Pt100 and Pt1000 sensors
  • Standard 4–20 mA control-system output
  • Two-wire power and signal arrangement
  • Four-wire sensor input minimises cable-resistance error
  • Compact terminal-block enclosure
  • Direct mounting on TS-32 or TS-35 rails
  • Multiple units can be mounted side by side
  • Transient-protected power and output wiring
  • Sensor-break fault indication
  • Pre-adjusted factory measuring ranges
  • Suitable for intrinsically safe applications with a DZ-110 barrier

Sensor-Fault Indication

If one or more sensor wires become open circuit, the transmitter output changes to:

  • Below 3.6 mA; or
  • Between 25 and 33 mA, depending on configuration.

This allows the vessel’s alarm and monitoring system to distinguish a faulty sensor circuit from a normal temperature measurement.

Typical Applications

  • Main and auxiliary engine temperature monitoring
  • Exhaust-gas and cooling-water systems
  • Fuel-oil and lubricating-oil systems
  • Bearings, pumps and electric motors
  • Cargo and service-tank temperature monitoring
  • Boilers and heat exchangers
  • Refrigeration machinery
  • Alarm monitoring and automation cabinets
  • Offshore platforms and FPSOs
