Product Overview
The Autronica BG-201 is an interactive point flame detector designed for the rapid detection of fires involving carbonaceous materials and hydrocarbon fuels.
Two infrared sensors monitor different sections of the fire’s infrared spectrum. The detector evaluates both signals to confirm the characteristics of a genuine flame while rejecting sunlight, hot equipment and other nuisance-alarm sources.
It is particularly suitable for engine rooms and other demanding marine environments.

When configured in legacy mode, the detector operates in Class 2 with a detection range of up to approximately 17 metres.

Replacement Application
Autronica also offers a BG-201 maritime replacement kit for replacing the older 601F-M detector. The kit includes the BG-201 detector and a suitable mounting plate.
Maintenance Requirement
The detector’s sapphire window should be inspected and cleaned regularly. Water, ice, snow or heavy contamination on the sensing window may reduce its effective detection range.
