Consilium Salwico NS-AOHS-IS N11250 Intrinsically Safe Addressable Optical Smoke and Heat Detector for Marine and Offshore Applications

Category:

Product Overview

The Consilium Salwico NS-AOHS-IS is an intrinsically safe, analogue-addressable multisensor detector developed for marine and offshore fire-alarm systems.

It combines an optical infrared smoke sensor with a thermistor heat sensor in one compact unit. Designed for hazardous areas, the detector is certified to Ex ia IIC T5 Ga and is suitable for vessels including LNG carriers, offshore units, cruise ships, workboats and naval vessels.

Product Description

The NS-AOHS-IS continuously monitors the protected area using two independent sensing technologies. An alarm is activated when either the optical smoke element or thermistor heat element detects a fire condition. The smoke and heat functions can also be temporarily disabled individually when required.

Its intrinsically safe design permits installation in hazardous marine environments where flammable gases may be present. The integral red LED provides clear local alarm indication, while addressable communication enables the control panel to identify the affected detector accurately.

The detector is suitable for cargo areas, machinery spaces and other classified locations aboard tankers, LNG vessels and offshore installations. As a certified intrinsically safe device, it must not be modified and must be installed using the specified isolator, adapter and compatible mounting base.
